About Umbrella Day
On May 3, 2016, Horizons for Youth will host its 9th annual Umbrella Day Campaign to help stop youth homelessness. Horizons for Youth provides emergency services and shelter to 45 youth between the ages of 16-24 each night, as well as support programs to more than 1,100 youth each year.
For nearly a decade, we have successfully run our Umbrella Day Campaign to raise funds and awareness of youth homelessness, while selling umbrellas. This year, with the sale of umbrellas, we are focusing our efforts on raising funds for three key areas that help our youth break free from the vicious cycle of homelessness: Abuse Counselling, Education, and Mental Health & Addictions Counselling.
By taking the time to read these stories, you will learn how Horizons for Youth has helped people like Alicia, Mo and Jane overcome some of their personal barriers and help keep them off of the streets. By purchasing an umbrella from one of nine locations in Toronto on Umbrella Day, you will help make a lasting difference. You are also able to purchase an Umbrella directly by Emailing your request to email@example.com.
On May 3rd, you can help end youth homelessness one umbrella at a time. To find out where you can get your umbrella click here
